Anupama’s last day with the Shah family
Anupama’s last day with The Shah family is a bittersweet one. She will be leaving the home she has lived in for the past 26 years. She has taught dance classes at the Shah family’s home and has formed an incredible friendship with Anuj. But she will soon have to leave this home to marry her long-term boyfriend Anuj. As the day draws closer, she will have to face many taunts and get ready to leave the house.
In the midst of this, Anuj asks Sara why she is pointing out Anupama’s maika mistake to Vanraj. The latter responds that he has to step in and protect her. But Sara tells him that sometimes, you have to step in to prevent trouble from arising between Anuj and Anupama. During the conversation, Anuj is questioned about his intentions for a future with Anupama, but she tries to calmly explain that he is not interested in a relationship with her.
Her apology to Vanraj
In the episode ‘Anupama’s Apology to Vanraj’, Anupama explains to her husband that her mistake ruined his birthday. She says that she wanted to celebrate the occasion alone. Pakhi overhears the conversation and leaves. After that, Baa calls Vanraj and wishes him. Meanwhile, Anu hears Pakhi’s voice in the background and is surprised. Obviously, this is the same Pakhi that will soon inform us of Anupama’s whereabouts.
The two men are shocked to see each other after Vanraj accuses Anupama of defending him. Nonetheless, Anupama is not going to let the Shah family misuse her goodness. She says she will never let the father of her two children use her goodness. This scene is particularly heart-breaking and Anuj’s reaction is almost akin to a cry. Anupama’s tears continue to flow as she thinks about her children and the two men.
Her relationship with Kavya
After watching the latest episode of the daily soap “Angu, Vanraj and Nandini”, Anupamaa realizes that her husband is having an extramarital affair with his colleague Kavya Gandhi. Kavya is posing as her friend but in fact, Vanraj is cheating on her with her. When Kavya is absent on a competition, Pakhi is drafted in to take her place. Meanwhile, Samar meets Kavya’s USA-returned niece Nandini Iyer. Vanraj, however, refuses to accept his role as mother.
On Makar Sankranti, Kavya comes home and lashes out at Vanraj. Anupamaa is shocked by this behavior and tries to console her. But Vanraj is unmoved and taunts her about her greatness. When Vanraj comes home, Kavya tells him that he will never be able to live in peace without her.
